On Sunday, September 27, 2026, Historic St. Charles transforms into a lively Bavarian-inspired course for the Saint Charles Oktoberfest Wurst Race Ever 5K & 10K. Whether you’re chasing a new PR or just here for the fun, this event delivers the perfect mix of fitness and festivity. Think scenic river views, crisp fall air, and a whole lot of lederhosen.

Your run takes you through the beautiful Frontier Park and along the Missouri River, giving you a picturesque route that’s as enjoyable as it is energizing. Pick your distance, soak in the atmosphere, and don’t forget that costumes are highly encouraged. After you cross the finish line, stick around for the Best Dressed Bavarian Costume Contest and keep the celebration going.

Awards

The awards ceremony will take place at the Yuengling Biergarten located at the north end of the park (near the finish line). 5K awards will be presented to (female and male) first, second and third place overall finishers. 10K awards will be presented to (female and male) first place overall finishers. 5K and 10K first place female and male finishers will also be given awards in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. 5K and 10K Hand Cycle Division Awards will be presented (female and male) to first, second, and third place overall. All 5K and 10K participants will receive a commemorative medal.
