On Sunday, September 27, 2026, Historic St. Charles transforms into a lively Bavarian-inspired course for the Saint Charles Oktoberfest Wurst Race Ever 5K & 10K. Whether you’re chasing a new PR or just here for the fun, this event delivers the perfect mix of fitness and festivity. Think scenic river views, crisp fall air, and a whole lot of lederhosen.
Your run takes you through the beautiful Frontier Park and along the Missouri River, giving you a picturesque route that’s as enjoyable as it is energizing. Pick your distance, soak in the atmosphere, and don’t forget that costumes are highly encouraged. After you cross the finish line, stick around for the Best Dressed Bavarian Costume Contest and keep the celebration going.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Lindenwood Stage at the Yuengling Biergarten. 5K awards will be presented to first place overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. 10K awards will be presented to first place overall male and female finishers, as well as the top one male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
